The Reserve Tasting will encompass wines from local cellars, valued at $90 and above, and not commonly found in the marketplace. All wines will be sommelier curated. Proceeds from the Reserve Tasting will be dedicated to Solidarity Sandy Springs, an approved non-profit 501c3 organization. Reserve Tasting participants will receive a swag bag with sponsor advertising and information & discounts from Sandy Springs businesses, along with an etched Riedel glass.

From a boutique winery. This highly rated wine (97 points) is a blend of 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier in a Côte-Rôtie style that delivers a red and black-fruited nose with a floral grip and rustic rockiness. It is medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a soft smokiness resulting in a structured wine with a focus on terroir. It exhibits aromas of peeled orange, red fruits, fresh flower, ground black pepper, bacon fat, and crushed rock. There are hints of apricot often found with Côte-Rôties made with a bit of Viognier. The flavors are intensely rich.
From the estate of Amuse Bouche led by the First Lady of Wine - Heidi Barrett - well known for her role with Screaming Eagle wines. A red blend of 42.3 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 33.1% Petit Verdot, 16.9 % Merlot, 6.2 % Malbec & 1.5% Petete Sira. It's mid weight red with aromatics of spiced dark cherries, bramble berries and spice box with hints of crushed rock and cedar. It displays super fine tannins. Only 700 cases produced.
From respected winemaker Will Jarvis, this wine offers refined aromas of violet and herbs on the nose. A creamy texture upholds flavors of currant and clove, while accents of oak are integrated and adds to the foundation.
Pomerol wines are rich, decadent reds, with notes of chocolate, dark cherry, plums, and spice. They deliver soft tannins and elegance courtesy of the Merlot grape. These wines come from a plateau of clay, gravel, and iron, while lighter, more acidic wines come from the region's sandy soils. This wine is medium to full-bodied, with considerable tannin, volume, and power, as well as a spicy, long finish with hints of lead pencil, cedar, and black fruits.
This is one of the richer wines in this vintage as yields were down a punishing 50%. Succulent red cherry fruit, spice, tobacco, cedar, dried flowers, leather, and licorice are front and center. It is a racy exuberant Zinfandel that packs a punch.
This wine ranked #19 2001 comes from the vineyards of Perdiz, Vila Velha, Vesúvio, and Bomfim. It is the result of a joint venture between Bruno Prats, formerly of Cos d’Estournel, and the Symington family. This release is a blend of classic Douro varieties, and is packed with intense cigar box aromas, elegant tannins and flavors of ripe, almost juicy red fruits.
The wine is from the Wagner Family's Taylor Lane Vineyard (Joe Wagner) in the
Sonoma Coast Appellation. This family is well recognized for their Caymus Vineyards Cabernet. This is a single vineyard of Belle Glos Pinot Noir made more in the Burgundian-style, and released only in Magnums after years of aging. This wine delivers through its perfumed flowers and tangelo on the palate with notes of sugared cherry, orange peel, crushed stone, vanilla, and white pepper.
We will be pouring a 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 vertical of this great wine sourced from Meteor Vineyards. This wine displays aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, mint, lavender and dark fruit. Full-bodied, yet tight and formed, with fine tannins that give asilky impression.
This estate is a 2nd Grand Cru Classe and lies within the terroir of Saint Julien in the Medoc. This classy 2014 Saint-Julien is composed of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc and opens to stunning aromatics of ripe dark berries, black plums, tobacco, spices and hints of spring florals all soaring from the glass. The medium-full body is silky and beautifully layered.
An amazing and brilliant Sauvignon Blanc by well known winemaker Philipe Melka. This wine comes from the cooler terroir of NAPA Valley and was matured in French oak and concrete. It displays nuisances of grapefruit, melon and peach with a touch of spice, and acidity that draws you into its vibrant character. It finishes with a wet stone impression that lingers on the finish.
This highly rated 2016 exhibits bold cherry, dried raspberry with saddle leather, cedar, damp forest floor, and wild herbs. It is medium to full-bodied, with a ripe yet structured feel with notes of red plum, currant, dried roses, orange rind, and white pepper. It is crisp expression of Sangiovese with lifted berry aromas gained over two years of barrel aging.
This varietal is native to southern Italy and grown almost exclusively in Puglia the
peninsula which can be visualized as the "heel" of the boot in Italy. The grape produces wines very deep in color. The 2016 is a smooth and complex red with high minerality combined with sour cherry, plum, and coffee notes. It tend to be rustic in character with a spicy element.
From one of Washington's premier vineyards, Les Collines, only 145 Cases of this wine were produced. The 2015 shows an intense core of dark cherry plus
hints of spice and clove, and licorice. Its full body and generous tannins indicate a long aging potential .
This 2020 exhibits citrus notes intertwine with nuances of white flowers, mango, white peach, and pineapple on the nose . The palate reveals layers of pineapple, grapefruit, and tangerine, balanced by bright acidity and notes of nutmeg, vanilla, and lemon curd. It's a vibrant, flavorful wine with a crisp, clean, refreshing finish.
This 2017 has highlights the lush, ripe fruit and Rutherford Dust of the valley floor vineyards. It exhibits aromas of blackberry, black currant and powdered cocoa that give way to notes of lavender, soy and herbs de Provence. Texturally, the wine is concentrated, showing flavors of dark baker's chocolate, dark cherry and caramelized vanilla. Tannins are round, lush and fine-grained.
